Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) develops positive, meaningful relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. At the center of our mission is one-to-one mentoring, with each mentor ("Big") spending time with his or her mentee ("Little") through one of the three primary programs: Community-Based, School/Site-Based, and mentor2.0.

BBBS continues to advance the social capital, emotional well-being, and educational success of our youth through one-to-one mentoring. We provide fundamental support that ignites change and builds strength in the lives of children. Our mentors bring awareness, emotional support and access to vulnerable youth that helps them build the social capital necessary for success in life. Our outcomes for youth are measured in four primary ways:

1. Belonging & Social Capital
2. Emotional Wellbeing
3. Healthy Choices & Behaviors
4. Educational Achievement

Only 45% of children from low income households enroll in post-secondary education. 97% of children paired with a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters are enrolled in college, enter the military, or are employed after graduation. Although 86% of the youth served by BBBS fall below the poverty line, the support and guidance that children receive through mentors with BBBS puts them on a radically different path than their peers, helping them unlock their greatest potential in life.
