We are proud to offer one of the nation's leading children’s education programs among botanical gardens, fostering curiosity and a love for nature in future generations. Our Plant Trial Program is recognized as a leader in horticultural research, particularly for identifying heat-tolerant plants—vital knowledge for sustainable gardening in Texas and beyond. Each year, we trial between 3,000 and 5,000 plants from more than 30 breeding companies and publish the results to share with the public.
