Lone Star Underdogs Animal Rescue Inc

My name is Kim Crowder and I am the President/Director of Lone Star Underdogs.

This is definitely a family affair with a lot of help from my friends and supporters. Our family started volunteering with a rescue group in 2014 and started fostering in 2015. We started slowly and eventually started fostering several at a time (we have fostered over 350 dogs/puppies). 

We have taken in seniors to momma dogs and babies and love them all!  They become a part of our family!  

After volunteering with three different rescue groups, we decided to start our own small rescue.  I talked to my son about some great childhood memories we both shared where my dad pushed us on a swing and would run under us and yell “underdog.”  Also, our family has always rooted for the underdogs, so with that in mind, my son created our rescue logo.

   We pride ourselves on making the best matches for the pups and families looking for a new furry companion and continue to stay in contact once the pup leaves our home. Our adopters become a part of our family too! 

 The promise I can make, is that every penny that comes into our group, via donations/adoptions fees etc., will all go towards helping more pups.  This is our charity, our passion, but we also have full time jobs so finding the perfect balance will be a main goal for us.
